It depends on who has had the fewer home games in the tournament. For instance, State was home in game 1 and 2 against Okie and then Florida State. We were the visitor against Samford. Okie was the road team for their first two games but have enjoyed being the home team for the final two games. We are now playing our third straight game as the visitor. But Okie earned the right to be the home team now for these last two games.
In other instances, I think they want to ensure that if it goes to the final game, that the team in the winners bracket will be the home team even if they have lost that first championship game. So in some instances, you will see the 2-0 team as the visitor for the first game and then the home team for the "if necessary game".
