So I've done a little research, and it seems neither of these city's officials could foresee the type of growth they've been getting because people there are concerned about the lack of traffic lights, lower costs leading to increase of crime, and in TC in particularly, city leadership that is "lazy" and "short-sighted."

I haven't been through either in several years. I just don't have a feel for what's bullshite and what's just somebody online griping because they have a shitty commute.
