Honestly, 20 years is too long of a time period. So much can change during that time. Who would have predicted the emergence of Miami in 1963? Who in 1976 was saying Florida would eventually be a national powerhouse? Who could have predicted LSU in 1983? Definitely not me.
To be honest, I do not see LSU winning a championship under the current coaching staff. Therefore, I would have to answer "no" to you question. But then again, I doubt we have the same coaching staff in 20 years, so it is difficult to say.

I would bet money that LSU will make the playoffs at least once in the next 20 years.

Good point, and you could use 1960s & 70s FSU to make the point, also. They were on the brink of pulling the plug on the football program pre-Bowden.
