9/1 - Coastal Carolina
9/8 - Georgia
9/15 - Marshall

9/22 - at Vanderbilt
9/29 - at Kentucky
10/6 - Mizzou
10/13 - Texas A&M
10/20 - BYE
10/27 - Tennessee

11/3 - at Ole Miss
11/10 - at Florida
11/17 - UT Chattanooga
11/24 - at Clemson

Looking at this... I'm optimistic. This should be a good year for us. Defense needs to get better obviously, but I think we are definitely in for something good.

@ UK, @ Ole Miss and @ UF could be the difference between 10-2 and 7-5.

I think we'll finally get the monkey off our back this year at UK.

UF is breaking in a new coach and scheme, but by the time we play them they may have it all figured out.

I don't know what all Ole Miss has but I doubt it's much good.

First time we're going to Ole Miss in a decade. Incredible.

Couple of things about Ole Miss.

They have plenty of talent remaining on that team.

Luke is an underrated coach. We actually reached-out to him during our coaching search. He was not receptive because he is a true blue dyed in the wool Reb from an Ole Miss family and he saw the writing on the wall with Freeze. But he is a good man, a helluva recruiter and not a bad coach at all.

No telling how the probation and bowl ban is going to play on their psyche. Neither can we be sure who Patterson's replacement will be but they have some talent there.

It'll be a tough game that we absolutely should win.

Agreed on Kentucky ... we should beat them up there this year but, again, sometimes certain teams can get it in their heads that they are just supposed to beat you. We were that way with them for a decade ... their mentallity changed and they caught us in a downward spiral. But I think we break out of that with them this year. We can never afford to lose to Kentucky ... not ever.

Mmmm.. you know this could a 7 win season. But...

If you get by Georgia then you would be favored in just about every game up till Clemson.

The problem is you get Georgia the second game of the season so everything is still going to be settling in, but you do get them at home.

If you beat Georgia, which won't be easy, then yes, there is a chance of an 11-0 match up with Clemson at the end of the year. The schedule lines up really well for y'all to be honest.

The schedule is about as good as we can ask for. We may ne reaching for pie in the sky against Georgia though. They're not going to fall-off much from last year, if any. That game will be strictly about how much we have improved this year ... and can we stop their running game.

Win that one and the sky is the limit as they say.

Agreed.

Even a loss to Georgia wouldn't be the end of the road though. They play at LSU and they have Auburn on the schedule. Its entirely possible they could drop both of those games (LSU is probably a bit of a stretch, they have talent but I'm not sold on the coaching staff there) which would mean if y'all hold serve against the rest of the schedule you'd have games against Clemson and the SEC title game to boost your chances of landing in the playoffs.

Kentucky might have hit their ceiling. I'm not sold on Mizzou with a first time OC calling the shots, particularly when its the guy that burned Tennessee to the ground as their HC. Florida has all sorts of issues. Its a shame y'all play Georgia so early because right now you two look like the class of the East.

Our roster at Arkansas is so depleted in certain areas that I will be happy with just a bowl game this year.

Y'all should be favored in every game except against us and Clemson

I would say your next 2 hardest games are Mizzou and aTm

Anything less than 9-3 would be a disappointment

9-3 is my prediction for Gamecocks this year

Are we really playing TWO 1AA teams? Coastal and Chsttanooga is embarrassing. And a waste of a home game.
