No shite. Really? That isn't a point. That isn't a contribution. And that isn't the same thing as saying that fields should redshirt this year because he would be the 2nd stringer. You are stating the obvious that Fields is the backup until he is not.

Yes. You care more about 2022 than 2018 and 2019.
Yes. You want to call upon a 2nd stringer with zero experience in a game that matters for the sole purpose of maybe being better in 2022.
Yes. You want to call upon a 2nd stringer in 2019 who has a less than stellar off season because he doesn't have game film that he can share with his personal qb coach who can design a 6 month workout specifically designed for the mechanic issues that develop when under pressure... because you care more about 2022.
