Insiders said Fromm was playing game 1. If they knew, Fromm knew. Fields is gonna play for the same reasons Fromm was going to and tua did. While a redshirt makes sense on a level, It’s ultimately best for the team to have a backup ready to go as best prepped as possible. Saban and smart both understood that last year.

0% chance that Fields redshirts. He'll have specific packages in short yardage and red zone and he'll get garbage time against the shitty teams we play.
