majic: what were the issues that made the 2 guys discourage inner city kids from attending Mizzou?

The late Onion Horton and Morris Henderson started the protest with kids in the inner city of St. Louis and E. St. Louis, because Mizzou wouldn't put any emphasis on those areas where stud players wanted to come and play for Mizzou. I played back in that era and got to know Onion and Morris. I really don't think that their plea to players not to go to Mizzou really worked.
After that somebody at Mizzou forced coach Onofrio to recruit those areas and they got commitments from db Demetrius Johnson, de Steve Hamilton, de Wendell Ray(pops of Shane Ray), db Kevin Potter, db Eric Wright, db Johnny Poe, and Hall of famer te Kellen Winslow.
Charlie Tuna was one that tried to get kids to not go to Mizzou, but has changed his stance over the years. Demetrius Johnson has always loved Mizzou and tried to help recruit kids there until recently when He had a falling out with Pinkel over the protest. He doesn't try to get kids not to go there and he doesn't push them on going there, either.
