What everyone said.
I would put SeaBearer on the list - Best Oysters and cool place.
Marker Seven on Milledge. At Five Points, which also has 5 & 10 which is super fancy. Want cheap but decent beer and burger. Same area of Five Points called Grindhouse.
The last resort is good, but yeh not "this place is awesome" good. Plus hard to get into
Decent pizza and beer - Teds Most Best.
Also right around from the Georgia theatre is a new sports bar type place called "The Office" not bad if you want a good beer list and bar food.
I assume when you say "UGA" hotel you mean the Georgia Center which is on the corner of Lumpkin and Carlton. Take a left on Lumpkin and a 5 minute walk you will be at the Five Points. You will literally walk past Grindhouse.
