I think Cannizaro's head got a little too big and full of himself when he got a plum gig like MSU after no head coaching experience and not much time as an assistant.
I do think he would have been a solid head coach over time and once he got his recruiting classes in there.
That's what happens when you take a chance on assistants. It could go really well or it could go south quick and obviously Andy couldn't handle the new found fame he acquired. Had he sat and learned a little more from a veteran like PM at LSU he may have been better off in the long run. Cannizaro showed his true colors the way he acted in the super regional last year at the Box. Good riddance although I'm sure he will get a lower level job or another assistant gig as soon as all of this blows over.
