You can see the top of the Blue Ridge mountains in this pic, this is a little down the hill from Tillman.
You def. won't see them on a cloudy day, even out on lake Hartwell or the dikes.

So if I wear boots and stand on top of a certain bench on a clear day and jump up and down I can see a mountain? I don't know why any 5* athlete or Rhodes acholar goes any place other than Clemson
