It's really put me on edge the last few days. 3 separate times today a driver who passed me on the highway briefly lost control of their car braking too fast on wet roads.
Seriously, people driving up your arse in a Goddamn monsoon where visibility is at Damn near zero on the fricking interstate, in a fricking work zone. WHY? WHERE THE frick DO YOU HAVE TO GET TO IN SUCH A HURRY???
Unless you're an ambulance or an emergency services vehicle, wherever you need to be is not that fricking important.

It's always some good ole baw in a pickup truck, usually a Ford F-150 Raptor.

Put your own life at risk, but leave the rest of us out of it.

Literally no one thinks this way sadly.

Yesterday, in the pouring rain, we watched some jackass take a corner at a speed no one in their right mind would do in perfectly good weather. They actually managed to get two wheels off the ground for a moment.
Did I mention it was one of those big vans people use to haul furniture to customers?
God must have been looking out for dumbasses that day because they didn't crash.

You sound like a terrible driver. Get the frick out of the way, old man. It's just some rain.

You sound like a left lane driver.

The areguement I hear is that everyone who slows down in that kind of weather "doesn’t know how to drive in the rain", like it’s an affront to their masculinity or something.

Found the two good ole baws in pickups on their cell phones in the rain

Vehicles with more vertical windshields (trucks) can see much better in the rain than vehicles with more aerodynamic slanted windshields. A truck can pass a car in the rain and the guy in the car thinks "How can that guy even see? He's crazy!" and the guy in the truck thinks "This guy in the car is a loser for driving so slow."

The same people drive boats like idiots too.

Never thought of it that way, interdasting.
But it's not always truck drivers driving like assholes.

You must be a Nashville native. Everyone here drives 1 mph in the rain.

Someone whipped around me in the snow this morning, brand new Chevy 2500HD. I knew he was headed to the mine dock, most trucks early in the morning are.
Surprised I didn't find him in a ditch, it's just a matter of time.
