So now that the dust has settled on ESD, is there an under the radar guy we might try and pull in between now and February?

We’re hearing more and more from coaches, players, pundits, fans, pretty much everyone that the timing of ESD is really stupid. First of all, it’s not that early as Feb isn’t far away. Most everyone agrees that it should be pushed back to August or September with an out if the head coach leaves.

Second, it’s right in the middle of finals, the bowl/playoff season, and staff turnover time. Louisville’s class is a disaster and it’s really not Scott Satterfield’s fault as he didn’t have time before ESD to create relationships. They are missing almost an entire class. So will this be revisited anytime soon or will the NCAA not acknowledge their foolishness?

Akeem dent is waiting for NSD, so he might be back on our radar?

Most of our huge targets are still trending to us so I'm not sure who we would target under the radar wise.

ESD is already a ratings windfall for the NCAA's biggest media partners, the only way I can see it moving is if we go 8 team playoff and a literal playoff game is happening this weekend.

I disagree with the coach leaving thing. Kids should be told they are committing to the school, not the coach. And you have the reverse action with Satterfield being a prime example. If you let a kid leave a school because a coach leaves, then how can you tell a kid he has to stay at a school if he would have chose Louisville with Satterfield but didn't want to be with Petrino.

I know some kids fit certain systems and it seems like it is unfair to them if that system changes. But kids who are already on the team have to deal with it and don't get a free transfer pass. That is the chance someone would take for signing in Sept or August. I don't understand why any athlete would sign before Feb anyway. You know the status of the coach and majority of the assistant coaches, you know what players on the team have declared for the draft, and the is no real question about where you would fit in.
