5-star commit headed to Tennessee this weekend

Pierce Quick, a 5-star tackle from Hewitt-Trussville High School (Trussville, Ala.), will visit Tennessee this weekend. Quick had a close relationship with Brian Niedermeyer when he was at Alabama as an assistant director of player personnel. Niedermeyer is now the Volunteers’ tight ends coach.

Quick is going to be Alabama’s best peer recruiter in the 2019 class, but he’s going to take visits elsewhere. He’s likely going to take all five of his official visits, but it would be a shock if he didn’t sign with the Crimson Tide.

The 6-5, 285-pound prospect grew up dreaming of Alabama, and I don’t think any other school is going to get in the way of him accomplishing one of his biggest goals.

SEC Country "Roll Tide-ings" Programming note

In case you haven’t noticed, this daily content piece has changed publishing times from 9 a.m. ET Monday through Friday to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. So, for those of you daily readers out there, there will be no recruiting notebook on Friday. There certainly will be recruiting news if anything breaking happens, but this notebook will not publish on that day.
