Alabama is looking to capitalize on the talent pool in the state of Mississippi in the 2019 class with several of its latest offers.

On Tuesday morning, four-star running back Jerrion Ealy reported an offer from the Crimson Tide.

The Ole Miss football and baseball commit from Flowood (Miss.) Jackson Prep adds the tender to a list that includes over a dozen others.

"It's a dream come true," Ealy told BamaOnLine. "Every kid in this day and age wants an offer from Alabama because it is the pinnacle of college football."

The 5-foot-9, 181-pounder is rated the No. 5 running back and the No. 69 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

Ealy committed to the Rebels on Dec. 15.

Last season, the Top100 ball carrier rushed for 971 yards and 16 touchdowns to go along with 609 receiving yards and an additional 10 scores.

Barton Simmons: Are coaching staff changes an issue for Alabama?

quote:

At most college football programs, a complete coaching staff overhaul filled with unfamiliar philosophies would summon doubt before the start of spring practice.

But this is Alabama we're talking about, a behemoth superpower that has won five national championships in a decade and furiously shreds the competition on reloading talent and acquiring elite assistants.

CBSSports.com senior writer Barton Simmons says pump the brakes on the early uncertainty headlines in Tuscaloosa with regards to the Crimson Tide's fresh line of coordinators and position coaches becoming a headache in 2018.

“There’s always a little bit of concern because you're losing both coordinators and getting a new special teams coordinator as well, that's just a lot of turnover," Simmons said. “But again, when Nick Saban is still running point over there, you feel good about the direction of the program and the vision. I think they're really excited about some of the hires.

"Tosh Lupoi, elevated to defensive coordinator, he’s a rising star — certainly on the recruiting trail. And Pete Golding, who they brought in from Texas-San Antonio, that’s a guy who is going to play a really key role in the game-planning and Xs and Os side of the things, defensively."

Out of Alabama's 10 full-time assistant coaches, only Brent Key (offensive line) has the same role he had last season.

"They’ve got some superstars, just a lot of new faces," Simmons said. "I think Nick Saban, (above) anybody, has proven he can adjust and manage those new faces and be successful anyway."

EVALUATION: Jerrion Ealy lines up all over the football field. You see him at running back, then in the slot, then he slides to the outside receiver position, and on special teams, he is returning punts. He is on the smaller side, but he plays big, and more importantly, he plays tough. He has that no fear attitude on the football field. He wants the ball, he wants to make plays and he makes plays many probably wouldn't expect him to make. He has great acceleration when he gets the ball and he while he is quick and shifty, he knows when to turn it up the field. He has great hands at receiver and he will be able to use that on the next level to raise his value as a prospect. Ealy flashes great balance and he loves to use the spin move to avoid contact and would-be tacklers. He has great feet, he has a great feel for the game and he is a dynamic player.
