I was searching their 247 board to find info. It’s not the info I wanted. It also seems that our insiders aren’t as vocal in this recruitment.

Of course, he could be like Xavier McKinney and not tell anyone, including his own mom, where he’s going. In which case people are reading in to his silence as favorable to the out of state team.

This will either be much ado about nothing or one of the biggest storylines of the 2019 class. Taulia Tagovailoa, who will watch his brother, Tua, attend the Heisman Trophy ceremony this Saturday and possibly take home college football’s most prestigious individual award, is getting the full court press from LSU. Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron is pursuing Taulia despite the fact that he is committed to Alabama, the school at which his brother has captained all season, since last April.
This could probably be dismissed – after all, several schools, Georgia being a prominent one, have tried to make runs at Taulia since his Alabama commitment. But he did visit LSU for a game this fall. Now, that game was against Alabama, so was it just a free ticket to watch his brother play? Or is he giving the Tigers a serious look? We do not know, because Taulia has chosen to let rumors fester instead of addressing them publicly. So, again, this could be much ado about nothing, but if it’s not it will be a major storyline in the class of 2019’s final months.

Commitment season is upon us, and the commitment announcements should be flying around more in the western region than anywhere else. Of the West's 48 prospects in the Rivals250, 32, just over 66-percent, of them have already committed, the lowest percentage of all the regions. That leaves 16 prospects out of the West that remain uncommitted, also the most of any region.
California has more players in the Rivals250 than any other state and is also home to the most uncommitted players in the Rivals250 with 12. Four of those players, five-stars Bru McCoy, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Chris Steele along with Rivals100 wide receiver Kyle Ford, are in the top 50 of the Rivals100.

The state of Texas has a very positive showing in this version of the Rivals250. Four players, LSU commit Marcel Brooks and Texas A&M commits Baylor Cupp, Demarvin Leal and Isaiah Spiller, moved up more than 50 spots in the Rivals250. Only one player move up more spots in the Rivals250 than Brooks.
The Rivals250 now features six more Texans, more new additions to the Rivals250 than any other state. With Marcus Banks, Deondrick Glass, Texas Tech commit La'Vontae Shenault, TCU commit Colt Ellison and Texas commits Peyton Powell and Tyler Owens, the state of Texas has surpassed Florida and now has the second most players in the Rivals250.

No other position fared as well as the running backs in this rankings update. Running backs ended up getting the largest average move up the rankings per player out of any position and 10 percent of the top 40 in the Rivals250 are now running backs.
Five-stars Trey Sanders and Penn State commit Devyn Ford lead the group. LSU commit John Emery is just outside of five-star range but did move up 28 spots in the Rivals250. Michigan commitment Zach Charbonnet, who moved up more spots in the Rivals250 than any other player, is now No. 39 in the Rivals250.
Charbonnet and Emery were two of the running backs that moved up more than 25 spots. Joining them in that group is LSU commit Tyrion Davis and Texas A&M commit Isaiah Spiller.

In 2016 the Rivals250 featured nine prospects from Mississippi. The group included players like former five-star Jeffery Simmons and Rivals100 prospects Raekwon Davis, DeKaylin Metcalf and A.J. Brown.
This year's class has 11 prospects in the Rivals250 and they could end up being more successful at the next level. New five-star linebacker Nakobe Dean leads this class followed by Rivals100 prospects Ole Miss commit Jerrion Ealy and new four-star Charles Cross. Nine players from Mississippi dot the rest of the Rivals250, including new four-stars Derick Hall and Arkansas commit KJ Jefferson.

Nakobe Dean is a new five-star on Rivals.com and there is no doubt in my mind that he is just that. The Horn Lake linebacker is a special talent. He is a football player that happens to be a very good athlete, not to mention a 4.0 GPA student. It is easy to see when watching him why Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Texas A&M are still fighting for him.
Aggies’ coach Bradley Dale Peveto was in the Horn Lake section holding a Dean Big Head. These schools want Dean leading their defense, and there are plenty of reasons why.
Dean was in charge against Oak Grove. He was always lining up the defense, making changes and was constantly doing his job. He would drop into coverage at times, then he would make a play in the box and he was always playing sideline to sideline. The bottom line is Dean can do it all.
Is he the tallest linebacker? No. But he is one of the best. He knocks running backs backwards when he makes tackles. He can blitz, he can cover, he can play the run, he can move in space, he seems to be in the right spot and he is a leader.
Who will be the winner when he announces on Dec. 19? Most feel it is between Alabama and Georgia, but Dean is definitely not tipping his hand.
