Now when we see what kind of stuff went on in his program, right under his nose I'm fine with not hiring him. He's responsible for monitoring half a dozen coaches & two dozen players and he was oblivious to Persons scheme with the parents/agents/players?

Auburn hired him after knowing what a scum he was. That is who Auburn is. I won't even get started on the AD trying to offer the job to someone else while Tuberville still there, the softball scandal, or all of the Bobby Lowder BS.

Jesus Christ guys everybody cheats. I coached a 4 star defensive player and a 5 star offensive player on the same high school team. Auburn and Tennessee were in a bidding war for the defensive player. Alabama and Georgia (Richt was the coach) were in a bidding war for the offensive player. FSU actually threw the most at the offensive guy but he wasn't interested. Coaches, in the south anyway, have a set of unwritten rules that they somewhat follow, for example they won't outbid an in state school for a recruit and things like that. Ole Miss took everything to far. I can post all about it because no one believes me, but it happens
