We’re about to lose 3 in a row. This team has been on a downward spiral since his departure. We have no PG now. Zero. Don’t bother coming back MPJ.

Barring something miraculous, we are looking towards next year at this point.

We have got to find a PG for next year.

This might be Tilmon’s worst game yet this season

Harris doesn’t the offensive issues. He turned the ball over more than Robertson and Geist and has no shot. He would help defensively some.

With the transfers and the MPJ injury, we’ve been forced to resort back to the players Kim Anderson brought in. I think Giest has maximized his potential and he’s still not very good. Nikko and CVL are absolute trash.

If Kim Anderson wasn’t the head coach at Mizzou the last 3 years, none of these 3 would have gotten an offer from Mizzou.

I can’t wait for the last of the KA recruits to be gone. I know Cuonzo will continue bring in talent worthy of our program.

No his worst game was the Auburn game...7 minutes...1 rebound....zero points....4 fouls...and 3 turnovers. (Tilmon)

Phillips suspension is a non factor in this game. We have steadily gotten worse since the WVU game. Yeah, we beat a few cupcakes, then lost bad to an Illinois team. Conference season has had some ups and downs, but mostly downs. No matter how many defections we have, there are several players under performing...Tilmon...Porter...Barnett. If those guys played up to their potential, we’d be winning a lot of these games. Coaching? Probably, but at some point the players have to execute and play. I question Tilmon basketball IQ....Porter needs to go inside more, especially since he can’t buy a 3. Same for Barnett. He’s a senior that’s 6’7 or so, with a very long wing spand, and he’s content to stay on the wing instead of driving the ball to the hoop, much less rebound.
Next year will be worse. Our 2 leading scorers will be gone, and I think Tilmon will be also. Not to the NBA, but just transfer elsewhere. Jontay to the NBA? Who knows, but he’s nowhere near ready for that level of ball.

Yup. The further we get away from KA the better. I still think a lot of people forget just how bad he tanked us.

Get a legit PG. I mean one that can play 30+ minutes a game. Tilmon and Jontay develop a bit. Hopefully Watson and Santos can provide some outside shooting. Going to have to build this thing up. A lot of people, myself included, thought we were further along then we actually were. Team is limited and caught in a funk right now.

The Kim Anderson effect is still very real. We lost two really good players and we have nobody to replace them with.

If MPJ isn’t hurt, CVL doesn’t play. If Blake Harris doesn’t transfer, he’s starting over Giest and Giest doesn’t play nearly as much.

It’s one thing to lose two really good players, it’s another to have no talent to replace them with. I’m not gonna judge Cuonzo too hard until his roster is purged of Kim Anderson recruits.

With the modern style of college basketball (a foul every twenty seconds whether it happened or not) you have to have a skilled PG. The modern game is so disjointed with its stop and start play that you have to have someone on the floor handling the basketball who can create opportunities to score.

While Arkansas has a ton of guards who can shoot the ball we don't really have a true PG this year and when the game slows down, which happens more often then not, we are painful to watch.

Xavier Pinson has an OV scheduled for next weekend. He’s a true PG. I do think it would be good to add another PG either from a grad transfer or juco because freshmen PGs usually struggle.

Would have been better served if we got Mark Smith.

Blake plays street ball. He's a wandering soul that will play the way he wants to play.

The problem is not having PGs.

Smith hasn’t been that good this year. He has more turnovers than assists and isn’t shooting the ball well. Smith like Harris has lots of potential, but doesn’t solve the offensive issues this team has with MPJ injured.

The difference is, Smith would still be here.

Harris didn't want to conform to the team concept.

The problem remains: We have no PGs

I like what I have seen offensively. Once he gets better athletes and a couple players that can create outside of the offense, I think the offense will be really good.

It could. It will take a good while before we really know like it always does with new coaches

He's not running anything close to what he ran at UT. Mann essentially designed the offense. It's a pretty common NBA offense and very similar to what Hoiberg ran at Iowa St.

Any offense becomes difficult to run when you don't have guards that can penetrate and make a defense collapse.

Even without guards that can create Mizzou’s offense is still creating good looks on the perimeter, it’s just that in SEC play only Robertson and Barnett have hit shots.

100% spot on!!! As well as Duke recruits, they went through the same thing when their guard recruits didn't pan out a few years ago.
