Don't take this personal as this is more of a general rant than you specifically, but:

Why? What has ever given you or anyone the first hint of this being true?

I see stuff like this constantly and I just can't help but wonder why the hell anyone thinks these things. Because everything I've ever heard from the man suggests that how many national championships he has will have absolutely nothing to do with when he retires.

Is after the next championship his drive for success and what he does going to fade or something? Does each national championship won somehow drain a certain amount of drive from him or something?

So if he doesn't win another national championship for 10 years he will coach that long, but if he wins another next year he will only coach 1 more year? Seems silly when you think about it like that doesn't it?

I'll take him at his word - he's going to coach as long as he can physically maintain the level of success he desires.
