As the winningest head coach in Alabama football history.

Bryant: 232-46-9
Saban: 132-20

Saban would have to stay another 8-9 seasons to do it, while continuing to win at his current pace. It's unlikely that this will happen but certainly possible.

He would be very close to passing Bear for all time wins as well.

It's not going to happen though.

If you look at it on a NC per win basis, Coach Saban is winning national championships at over double the rate Coach Bryant did. I think 132 wins is enough of a sample to make this comparison. It is astounding.

When Saban finally retires (hopefully 10+ years from now), I really would love for him to stay involved in some way with Alabama football. Idc what it is or how much, even if it’s just him showing up a a few practices here and there. I just would love to have him around the program even after his coaching days are over.
