Wow!! Is Andy out the door? He is only 54 or 55. Too young to retiring soon.

Out the door? No. He'll coach special teams

Oh no.....I like Andy at WR coach, but I hope he knows something about special teams! We’ve needed that for awhile now!

What did Andy Hill do with these WRs that have people thinking he deserved to stay at that position?
Dropped passes the last two years have been fricking obscene

That would not be Andy Hills fault! That would be the receivers fault. Moore has no hands, and is a pussy when it comes to contact, so he can’t catch a ball over the middle! Not to mention a head case with poor character!

What makes you think an unproven Ofodile that’s never coached at the collegiate level will do the job better? Andy’s was a receiver at Mizzou, and coached them for several years...not just this last year! Andy knows what he’s doing....Ofodile? I doubt it!

He's actually done this in the past; working with punters and kickers

Last two years with Hill coaching: 36 passing TDs during conference play.
Previous 2 with Washington coaching: 11 passing TDs during conference play.
Sure it includes some TE production but the production increase is obvious.
Their positional blocking is also vastly improved and a major reason the Steelers are interested in using one of their 5th round picks on Moore.
This is about recruiting not the on field product.

One way or the other, we sucked at special teams. Started out putrid and worked our way up to mildly mediocre.
Maybe part of Odom wanting an ST coach was seeing how Texas made us have to drive 90/95yrds almost every drive.
Fatoney can develop into that kind of punter.

One thing Andy can do is catch a ball. He ran good routes also when he played. Coaches develop players and players have to produce. These players did not produce. Although we had over 40 TD receptions.
It scares me about Andy. He has been a constant for MU for so many years. The last 15 years this program could give a rat's arse about special teams. MU only has a special teams coach because the addition of one coach by NCAA rules.
Maybe Andy is a company man and this works out.

I agree...I watched Andy play, and coach, and have always liked him. Overcame his height to become a very good receiver at Mizzou. If his players he coached, played with half the heart he did, wed be a much better team!

He's not taking a pay cut. He's still Associate HC. I'm sure Odom spoke with him about it before they made the move. He has experience with ST so it makes sense.

He has a lot of experience as WR coach, where as Ofodile has had zero! Why take away from a strength to create a weakness? Oh hell, it doesn’t matter anyway. We’ll never win .....hire an OC that’s never been one before...recruit shitbirds that can’t stay out of trouble...it just never ends!

Ofodile played TE. He understands routes, catching technique, etc. He's been around football for a long time.
