No he hasn't. He got caught lying.
He violated a minor rule that the staff wasn't aware of. It happens at every school all the time and no big deal when self reported. But when the NCAA asked about it he lied because he thought he was protecting the eligibility of the recruits involved. That was the reason for the show cause.
In reality Pearl is so anti cheating in recruiting that as an assistant at Iowa he wore a wire to get evidence for the NCAA that Illinois was paying recruits and got them put on probation.

Never heard the details on the final numbers for Scotty Hopson but he was the #5 player in the country and his final 3 were Stansbury, Pearl and Pitino.

So he is a cheat and a snitch, which is worse than a simple cheat.

He did that to blackmail the kid to commit to his school, not because he's some great crusader against cheating. Get a clue.
