It's not just odd, it's not true.
He left when Jimbo left in 2006. Jimbo hired him under Saban and with Jimbo leaving to go to FSU, he decided to move on as well.
He left UGA because Mac Brown doubled his salary at Texas.
I'll echo some of the UGA posters, he is an outstanding person.
