This is my point. We have 2 years left in the current decade (2018 and 2019), and unless LSU, Florida, or Tennessee can finish in the Top 10 one of these next two years.... which looks doubtful at this point.... we may complete an entire decade in which three members of the Big 6 only combined for three Top 10 finishes.... with zero of those occurring in the last seven years of the decade.

I'm not sure I can remember a time in which 3 members of the Big 6 were so down at one time.

UGA and Auburn have exactly 1 more top 10 finish this decade than does LSU. UGA and Auburn have both had more seasons in which they finish unranked. Yet you lump LSU in with Florida and UT...

Unless you do top 10 finishes in the last year, LSU has had as much or more consistent success as any big 6 program not named Alabama in any 5, 10, or 15 year time block you choose to use.

And both of them finished in the Top 10 this year... and both should start at or near the Top 10 next year. That's their current state.

It's not the current state of LSU football.

But that's not where they are today.

LSU, Florida, and Tennessee are all three looking weaker now than what they would consider their norm of the past few decades. And all three are looking like they'll struggle again next season.

Alabama is at the top of the college football world.
Georgia just finished #2 and will start next year in the Top 4.
Auburn just finished in the Top 10 and will start next season right around the Top 10.

It's obvious three of the Big 6 members are currently in a pretty good state while its obvious 3 others are struggling a bit. If you have a problem seeing the difference, I can't help you. But its obvious.
