The same reason many of our fans can't admit that injuries helped us beat Auburn in the SECCG. Don't get me wrong, I think we would have beaten them anyway, but anybody that thinks injuries didn't affect the game is crazy.

That said, the reason is people want due credit for what their team accomplished, and if people put qualifiers on a victory it diminishes it. They just want people to recognize they had a great team and deserved a victory. And, they did.
