I assume the coach looked for a spot in the NFL 1st and once that didn't work agreed to be the Man for Nick. Nick took his time before making the call and the reson might just be his top selections were looking for a gig in the NFL.

Bc naming a coach after a cigarette period seems lame, especially one that was popular in the 70s and 80s and tries itself to be cool by playing on words/spelling in such a lame way
(Full disclosure - I’m not a smoker and never have been, but my dad was and he smoked kool)
ETA: apparently the coach calls himself Coach Kool, so nevermind. If that’s what he wants to be called then that’s what we will call him I guess. Still think it’s lame, but he will make our D-line so much better, so I’m down.
