Basically:
1) they're scrapping everything that roper did right down to the terminology used.
2) everyone on the staff on that side of the ball is there for a reason and that's they bring something to the table knowledge wise as well as development and they will all have things to provide.
3) expect a lot more tempo.

I read that post earlier and am pretty excited. I'd love nothing more than to come out and hang half a hundred on Coastal before UGA next year. We have work to do on the OL, but the skill players should be able to score and keep up with anyone. It's a lot to be optimistic over for sure. I also like the idea of developing a South Carolina system that is in place and stays no matter who the OC is. I believe that is what Champ is after.
On defense, we have some pieces to replace, but a lot of those potential replacements got significant snaps this year. We'll miss Skai for sure, but I believe between Champ and TRob, we'll be OK.
I believe we have one of the better staffs top to bottom in the conference, even the country, and believe we can get back to the 11 win type seasons with the hope for better every few years. We never have, not that we couldn't, recruited to the level where we just reload, but no sense in why we couldn't be highly competitive each year with a chance to make serious noise every 3 years with proper evaluations and development.

agreed on defense and the # of snaps post that they had put me at ease a bit. I didn't realize how many snaps a lot of these backups got this year.

I was always asking who made a tackle or who such and such player was during games. That usually never happens to me as I stay pretty abreast of the team. That speaks to just how many snaps the backups got this year.
As young as we are, it was a critical decision to get those guys PT. Hopefully we can see the dividends paid out next season.

Deebo is a key piece to this puzzle. I am still not 100% sold on him coming back. He is the number 5 rated WR on the draft boards according to ESPN, and he should be fully healthy very soon.

We'll know soon. Has to announce by Monday.

Yep... I could be way wrong, and I don't have much inside knowledge on the subject from anyone on the team or coaching staff, but I have a hunch that he will go based on him being healthy enough to participate in the combine and pro days.

I still scratch my head as to why we didn't do more of this this season. I know we lost Deebo early on, but we still had a lot of targets in Hayden, Bryan, OrTre, Shi, even Rico and AJ.
Especially with the OL blocking issues, speeding up the tempo and spreading the ball around takes pressure off of the OL to hold tackles, and puts it back on the defenses trying to cover everyone. Hopefully we utilize our skill players better this coming season - I expected us to do so this year, but oh well. We were a 300-yard per game offense under Roper, no matter what.....

We need to.
Even watching the National Title game.
Even BAMA was doing it.
UGA wasn't but that's a completely different beast.
The days of 3 yards and a cloud of dust aren't here anymore, and the excuse "WELL BAMA RUNS THE BAWL LIKE THAT" doesn't exist either.

Deebo is coming back. He bolstered his commitment to do so with his teammates following the win in Tampa.
We also redshirted quite a few players who will be key contributors this coming season. They will surprise some fans IMHO.
