Does anyone know the names of the crew who worked the Natty?

This was the same crew that Harbaugh was pissed about 2 years ago for handing Ohio State the game. It's a catch 22, you point out the glaring deficiency's and the make you a whiner. This crew missed so many egregious calls that I think the proper course is an investigation.

Dan Capron, the Big10 sent one of their most critized refs to do the most important game of the year. The playoff committee allowed this shite.

Both teams deserved better.

Believe the ACC has the best crews.

same crew that was suspended 15 years ago from officiating any more games due to incompetence.

It just absolutely boggles the mind how something like that can happen. The ACC refs we had in teh rose bowl were fantastic, maybe the best officiated game I've ever seen. The dropoff from them to these was staggering. I refuse to believe that the big 10 got together, had a big round table discussion, and pegged these clowns as the very best crew they had. It's ridiculous.

My dad really thinks games are rigged. I think that’s a wahoo conspiracy theory but the onesidedness of that game and how bad the missed calls were leaves open the opportunity for question in that regard.

The pass interference on Malcolm Parrish was a crap call and it was the closest to the fence IMO.

Dan Capron is the only suspended one (2002) that was on the crew for the NC.

The more I thought about it yesterday the more pissed I got. I didn't make a big deal of it during the game because we still had the lead and I wanted to believe we could hold on. But in hind sight 4 missed calls in particular were inexcusable and played a huge factor in the outcome.

1) The offsides on the Punt. It was clearly not offsides and we would have had the ball at around the 15. Should have been 3 more points, hopefully more.
2) The Non-Call on the Face mask on Swift. 15 Yards plus an automatic first down. We would have eaten up a few more minutes and possible gotten into FG territory.
3) The punch to the back of the head of Fromm right in front of the Ref. Another 15 yards, a 1st down, more time off the clock. I can't recall field position at the time but I think it was near mid-field.
4) False start on the 4th down touchdown. The WR clearly moved before the snap. That would have taken the 6 off the board and they would have had to try again from 10 yards further out.

I am proud of my Bulldogs on the season but I feel like they were screwed in this game in the most important moment.

yeah and he was the main guy. Why even put him out there?

I can maybe kinda sorta understand the continuity thing of wanting crews that have worked together, but on a stage as big as this they should just take the highest graded out official at each "position" over the course of the season and put them together. Even if they've never worked together why does that matter? It's not like you're going to see holding or interference better if you know the guy on the other side of the field's name.

Looked up incompetent douche Nozzles in the dictionary and this is what it said:

ref dan capron
ed feaster umpire
mike dolce linesman
patrick holt line judge
grady smith field judge
john hayes side judge
matt edwards back judge
mike stumberg center judge
tom kissinger replay
don willard alternate

The waded down river from the rust belt on a douche canoe to the game.

Vegas was upside down on this game and needed UGA to win or cover. Unless any potential rigging came from SEC or network officials, I don't see any reason this would've been officiated to intentionally favor Bama.

Mine, too. "There's no way you can tell me that money didn't change hands before that game..." I haven't spoken to him since the game was over Monday night, but I guarantee you that when I call him this afternoon, those exact words will be spoken.

To suggest it was "rigged" or they were calling in favor of bama is pretty ignorant IMO, I just think they were woefully awful at their jobs.

Nevermind the big ones we can point to (offsides on the punt block that wasn't, missed face mask on swift, missed punch on fromm, etc)...bama was holding like a MF'er the entire second half. I truly think that in the 3rd quarter when they realized they weren't getting called for any, they basically did it on purpose just to see how far they could push the limit until they got called on it but they never did. They were holding bad and I don't think got called once. Also on their TD pass late in the 4th the bottom receiver for bama started a full second early.

Oh, and I forgot about the Hold where our player was tackled by an offensive lineman on the 3rd and 7 when the QB escaped pressure and got the 1st down. That would have put them at 3 and 17. They later scored their first touchdown of the game on that drive. And I know that holding happens on most every play but this was egregious. He was basically tacked by the neck.

I mentioned it in another thread, but that's the halftime adjustment I'm waiting on: "They're not calling holding, boys, so grab some jersey and don't let go till you hear the whistle...."

You know, the refs did all they could, it was Bama that could not deliver at the end. They set them up.

Funny and ironic that they were not allowed to kick the extra point....

I agree it sounds crazy that it was rigged. My only point is that the calls were so bad and so one way they leave themselves open for conspiracy. Esp when they don’t discipline or call their own kind out for getting it wrong.

I don’t think it was rigged but the calls were so bad!!!

The whole face mask thing on swift, I understand missing that because Swift’s back was to the official.

However, offsides and the two missed false starts are completely unacceptable. They have two line judges. One of them had to see both of them and one of them had to call both of them. It’s very apparent that officiating lacks leadership, accountability, and integrity. It’s very possible that the line judge across the field saw both and said that’s not my call and let it go.
