Actually the 15 yard penalty would’ve been assessed to Georgia for sideline interference and Georgia would’ve had the ball out of fg range

What I'm not hearing about the 3rd Qrtr TD by Georgia was the infamous "dead ball" foul that was called. When Tony Brown and the Georgia receiver are tussling on the sideline and the receiver steps out/almost steps out....you clearly see the flag fly in the replay. I think the call was illegal participation/touching by UGA sidelines. If it was a dead ball foul, which the ref clearly states it is, why wouldn't they play have stopped right there? In or out wouldn't matter. Dead ball means that's it. Line up at the 16 yard line and go from there. There never was much clarification about that call and they assessed it on the ensuing kick-off.

Yeah, briefly forgot about that. I mean, it was still in Hot Rod’s range (what isn’t? ) but it definitely could have taken 7 off the board.

I thought he was out, but I can understand why the call stood.

I also think it’s ok as a Bama fan to say you got the benefit of the refs. The same way I think it’s ok as a Georgia fan for me to say the referees are not what cost us the game.
