I would’ve loved to see Harris develop, but he’s actually been regressing a bit over the season.
I’m not sure how much this hurts us in the short term. And it may signal someone is being recruited over.

We couldn’t afford to lose a PG. We are already so weak at that position. The other thing that concerns me is that Blake Harris is MPJ’s roommate and this might be a red flag that MPJ has no intention of ever playing for Mizzou again. This recruiting class turned out to be an absolute dumpster fire. What a shame.

Thats a bit of a reach. Jontay and JT alone are a+ additions. And who knows, Jontay + michael means way more to mpj than blake + and michael.

Is the fact that Harris is regressing (and transferring for that matter) more of a reflection on Harris or the coach?

Harris is really fast, but the kid seemed to be a headcase. If he wants out and can't see the benefits of playing for Cuonzo not sure we want him here. Makes us really thin art that position, but could turn out being a good thing in the long run. He liked to make mistakes and then blame others,not a good mentality on the basketball court.

Everyone knows MPJ was only going to be here for 1 year.
Pretty much the death blow for the season. Our ceiling was closely tied to how Harris developed. We are awful at PG now.

I believed MPJ would come back later this season, but now that this news broke, I think I’m now with the people saying he isn’t coming back.

MPJ wasn’t coming back. He had the surgery to get to the draft and get paid.
He might have been selling something else to the other players, but I don’t see any reason he risks coming back.

Yeah. Just Jontay and Tilmon is a better recruiting class than we’ve had (in terms of production) since Kim English’s recruiting class.
