I've been saying this from the beginning. He's a good player, and I'll be damned if someone tells me they don't want a QB who gets drunk and beats up Gretzky's kid. It's normal, and he seems to be a good QB.

Yes, it looks like Florida let him go.

It doesn't even look, it is. We had this argument on the Gators board a month ago when Mullen went to talk to Fields in person before even making a call to Corral. I'm still upset, because I think Corral would have done well at Florida, and I hope there's a plan (unless MSU fans are right and this is normal) but it was clear from the beginning that Mullen wanted no part in Corral.

Florida fans better have some hope. Andrew Ellis (Ohio Insider) has a 86% correct pick and he just flipped his CB for Emory Jones to Florida.

To be fair to Straws, he's been consistent on this from jump.

I'd agree, unless there is more to the character concerns than getting drunk occasionally and punching a kid that was likely as douchey if not more so than Corral, the concerns on that end seem to be pretty silly.

There are UF writers who aren't writing this off as *exclusively* him being let go, but certainly not making him the priority that it probably should have been if they wanted to keep him. I mean, if they didn't want him at all, they probably don't visit him in person... but that doesn't mean they were pitching their A game either.

End of the day, he's a poor fit for Mullen's most recent iterations of his offensive plans. If I'm Corral, I recognize that and I probably press on how Mullen intends to adapt to what I bring to the table and if I don't like what I hear, then even Ole Miss on probation with scholarship reductions may be a better option.

The weird thing to me is if Mullen did this without a good idea of who the alternative was... if it was a wing and a prayer to land another top QB, it seems like a pretty dramatic misstep. Landing Emory Jones would definitely be a hell of a trade up as far as QBs that fit what Mullen wants to do *but* I would say he's a bit of a project from what I've seen... Upside, obviously Mullen has some experience getting guys ready to produce in college. Will be interesting to follow along to say the least. I wish you all of the worst luck possible.
