re: Rooster, do you know anything about Phil Longo to SC?

The offense that Champ said he wanted to run when he was hired was Gus's offense. The narrative surrounding Roper was that a) they would create wrinkles for the opposition during the week that would never get called on gameday, b) refused to stray from what he wanted to do conceptually vs what was asked of him to do, c) would not even let other offensive coaches have a opinion on how the offense should look until halfway through this season, however as stated above, once game day rolled around he went back to calling whatever tfrick he wanted.


TLDR version: I wouldn't look at the Muschamp offenses we've seen and assume that is how he wants his offense to look.
