...his show was the shite back in the 90s and early 00s. It was very organic and the regular callers were not scripted as they now are. The current ‘callers’ are just caricatures of the originals.
I remember listening on AM 570 WAAX back in Gadsden. It’s not even like the same show anymore. It also seems like Paul enjoys it much less now.
If you ever get a chance to check out some old reruns, listen to the episode with Roger Hallmark...gold.

Will you position his statue between Saban and bear?

Maybe next to Moore’s Ten Commandment statue.

He learned from Letterman (Biting Sarcasm). He has always belittled LSU because that's what most of his listeners want to hear. His act has gotten old.

Shane from Centerpoint
Bobby from Homewood
Jim from Crestwood
Jim from Tuscaloosa
I-Man from Montgomery
Those were the main original callers I remember when he had Neal Vickers as his sidekick. Show was hilarious back then. Now he's just a politically correct hack.

Open line callers is the #1 reason I can't watch that show. I can stomach the other parts, but when the callers come on, I usually have to bow out.
But that goes for pretty much any show.

It was funny back when the show consisted of Charles vs. insert redneck cuck here and I-Man crushing everyone in his path. Now it's over saturated with dumbass shite like Barbara from West Montana talking about the Stanford chess club and Wallace from Montreal asking Paul his thoughts on the Rutgers' quarterback battle going into the spring.

Steve from Forest Park back in the early-mid 90's on WERC. That dumbass was pretty funny.

Finebaum's biggest problem is that all of that man love for Saban .
Finebaum is at his best when he gets onto serious sports related topics that don't have much to do with Alabama. Overall he's a very good journalist and when he decides to, he asks very good questions.
