The big awards mostly go to the teams in the NC hunt. That is not a complaint or defense, just a statement. LSU has seen our players from the good teams get these awards too.

Now unfortunately, the committee got lazy and did not look at Devin at all. He might have at least been in the conversation. As the previous poster mentioned he led the SEC in tackles all season and set the single season record for SEC DPOW with 4 times... or 25% of the time this season.

But his biggest contribution was that he was the main one that, after the Troy loss, picked this team up by the neck and shook some life into it. He and a couple of other underclassmen called the players only meetings and read the riot act to those not putting out. He led by example and led this team to a 6-1 comeback at the back half of the season and turned this program around.
