Wow.

A&M is one of 6 Senior Military Colleges in the country, along with others like The Citadel and VMI. Strong military background, but still viewed as second tier to the academies.

Now, I never served, and I can absolutely believe there is a stratification of the officers. I would guess we are second-tier, regular ROTC and OCS guys being at the bottom.

Unless there is just gross abuse of the system, though, I am absolutely fine with that hierarchy. A&M is a great experience for going that route, but the academies are on a whole other level and they form the backbone of the tradition.
