Alabama effortlessly ran for more than 200 yards against Auburn and abandoned it Midway through the third quarter for some reason. I bet they don't make that mistake again
did we watch the same game? Alabama was going 3 and out or so over and over again because they couldn't run the football. sure, they had a couple of big running plays, but most runs went for 0 -3 yards. they were turning the ball over on downs too often, which is not Alabama football.
should they have stuck with it? I dunno.

I guess not. Damien Harris averaged over 8 YPC, Bo Scarbrough averaged over 7 YPC, and as a team we averaged 5.4 YPC. Finished with over 200 yards on the ground.

- Alabama had 38 runs
- Alabama had 34 non-sack/non-FG mishap/non-fumble snap runs
Of those 34 runs
- 6 were for 10+ yards (18%)
- 18 were for 5+ yards (53%)
- 22 were for 4+ yards (65%)
- 10 were for 0-2 yards (29%)
- 0 were for negative yards (0%)
That means on designed runs/scrambles Alabama averaged 6.6 YPC. If you take out Bo and Harris' two big runs of 21 and 31.......Alabama still averaged 5.4 YPC.
We ran the football fine against Auburn. We stupidly got away from it on 2nd down when we had it at 2nd and 6 and ended up in tons of 3rd and 6s. We converted almost literally none of them.
