Is crap. No it's not why Auburn lost, leave excuse making for a lose to uga. But they give each school about 16,000 tickets. Most of the rest goes to the right holders of the stadium, which you guessed it are mostly from Atlanta. I'm from Atlanta and think it was stupid to build the new stadium in the first place unless Blank payed for all of it. If they can pay on player 25mil a year they can pay for all of their new stadium. The fact it's in Atlanta will always make it easier for uga to get the tickets. The only answer is to allocate more of the tickets to the schools or uga will forever have a built in advantage.

Why aren't tickets sold like they are for concerts after students and season ticket holders get theirs?

People who buy the falcon season tickets get some kind of priority. I have not done a ton of research but that is how a bunch of my uga buddies(still) got them

20K are from SEC office to permanent seat holders.
I’ve had 4 since 2009.
Schools get 17000 each.
The remaining sec schools get 4600.
There are 4600 corporate seats.
I’m not sure about the balance of seats, but UGA starting buying tickets 4 weeks ago.
A friend of mine sold his 4 tickets for $600 each the day after Georgia clinched.
It was not that much of a crowd difference. Maybe 60/40 or so.
