It's really not about him as much as it those who worship him around here.

The company line was the timing was never right for him to come, so that bullshite is out the window. He was never offered the job here by Long, interviewed in 08 at the request of the same people who just had Long fired for not hiring him, among other things.

These are the same people who show up to he auburn/Arkansas games with a razorback shirt wearing an auburn hat. The same people who actively try to steer recruits to him away from Arkansas.

You don't understand it because you are not the only game in town in your state, you've never had a section of the fan base in a town that thinks a man is above the program, should be handed the program, and every wimper be met immediately to satisfy the man. When he goes 6-6/7-5 during the good years you will hear them talk about how much Arkansas has frug him down and how much better he is than Arkansas...
