"We don't need a permanent AD"

"We just need an AD and we have one."
-JCP
People considered this a "boom" at the time. Since this statement from Julie Cromer Peoples, her only other communication with the public has been to backtrack on her decision not to use a search firm.
She also isn't acting like an AD at all. Not a word about basketball or women's basketball both doing well. She hasn't tweeted anything since October. If she wants to call herself the athletic director, she should act like one. Unless she already knows she isn't getting the job.
At first I supported her getting the job because she's a ball buster, but she obviously isn't ready for this stage. She was late to her press conference on Friday because she was doing her hair.

I never understood the calls to give her the full time job after that presser, especially considering the fact that she stumbled through most of it.
Hiring her would be profoundly stupid, but we have a trademark on that because we’re Arkansas and we could frick up a two car funeral procession.

I would think that she would have to get the permanent position unless they had a plan in place when they fired long.
She should be familiar with coaches and everything going on.
Otherwise, the search should take much longer than 2 or 3 weeks.
Also, I think she did fine during the PC on Friday.

Pretty much agree with you. I’m not a huge Twitter fan but in this day and age it’s almost a requirement for someone in that position I guess.
And for dang sure she needs to be pumping up the basketball teams right now. When some things are up the air or a little chaotic at least, it’s a no brainer to focus on the positive. Aside from just that being the smart thing to do, it’s also the right thing to do.

If there's any truth to all the back room drama rumors going on up there I'm not surprised she is experiencing a rocky start to her tenure. I imagine if things would just calm down she would smooth out the rough edges in no time.
Half the people up there act like they fricking hate her. The other half are just glad they have someone else to pin this shite show on.
I think she is under a tremendous amount of stress at the moment. More than she should be under. I would with hold judgment until we see who she tries to saddle us with as a football coach.

She hasn't been sleeping well
The GOBN is going to ruin this woman's good looks. Assholes.

lol, leave her alone...
If she does any social media at all, she places herself in the sights of those yammering about the fb Program and the coaching/AD search.
Under the radar is the way to go at the moment. Good publicity is very important, but any publicity at all is not good during very stressful times.
Let it play out.

How did that work out for Tennessee?

Is she the athletic director or not? She's an adult, she can take criticism.

LOL, I don't care if she is criticized or not..
But what I wrote makes sense on many levels. No publicity is better than any, if it opens one up to more criticism while the search is ongoing. We have so many loons ready to pounce because a hire hasn't been announced as of yet. She needs to stay quiet until the job is done.. JMHO!
However, is MA upset that the acting AD isn't pumping the BB team ?

I'm just curious what she's actually doing. She isn't making appearances or talking about anything on social media. We have a search firm to find a coach. What exactly is she doing as athletic director?

She's primping and fixing her hair for the next presser

Constantly fielding phone calls from anyone who donated more than 50k to Arkansas athletics to hear their unsolicited opinion on who the coach should be. If i had to guess.
