The actual data and facts would suggest they are closer to peers currently, with ms state being the superior at the current date.

The biggest difference. Money.
Tennessee has way more of it than State. Where State is now isn't maintainable for them in the long run. Add the fact that THIS is the best years State is capable of having. They will never win a national championship in football.

Potentially, Tennessee has all it needs to become successful again.

Long term. Tennessee is the better job.

For the next year or two. State is the better job. They will be a good team next year that could potentially win the west if things fall their way.
