A couple questions I have.

I played, and watch a lot of dang football but there's a couple things I still can't make sense of.
First, Trent Thompson. I'm not calling him out for Saturday but for the season as a whole. He was Warren Sapp jr last couple years. This year he's average as grits. And I don't see his movement or conditioning limited due to that mysterious injury or whatever so what is he not doing as well?
Second, I watched some highlights of Chubb in freshman year. He was so smooth and powerful and hard to wrap up. I don't see that anymore. Idk what it is. Michel is way better in my eyes and maybe even swift. What's up with the Chubster?
Third. This saddens me the most. Lo Carter is the most savage predator looking football player on this team yet he is a senior and I don't see him as much better than he was as a freshman. Just better at assignments. Not pass rushing which is where he'll make or lose nfl money. Personally I think we just ask him to do so much different stuff it takes away rush opportunities at times. He covers flats and zones. Still when he rushes I see him rely only on speed and some power. No moves. No chops. No swims. No spins. Idk. Maybe it's scheme.
Lastly. I'd just like to see us throw the tater a little more. I love demoralizing teams but sometimes balance is good too. Saturday neither was a great option. But against kentucky maybe we air it out more. Run pa
Your thoughts oh wise ranters?

1. I know he missed a couple of games with an injury and he has rotated a bunch with Tyler Clark, who is having a good season.
2. The run blocking is not as good as it was in 2014 and Chubb hasn't been able to pull away from defenders as often as he could in the past.
3. It's the one thing I don't really care for with this read and react scheme. We aren't able to let our players loose and wreak havoc in the backfield. Maybe Zo and the rest of the pass rushers really are just average, but I've seen teams like Clemson, Miami, Auburn, etc tee off all season long.
4. As long as it results in the opposite of what the last game generated, I'm fine with it.

Not at all. I find it hilarious that the trolls and alters are out in full force over a loss. And the stupid shite that's posted, regardless.

Take away your endless posts about trolls and phantom alters, and how many posts are left?

2 I really disagree with. I think our run blocking is a lot better but different. When we were more zone based holes would come and create space. Man scheme like now the space created is not as blatant but man blocking is more consistent if you have the hosses to do it. I think my over arching point is that he just seemed better back then.

I'm not a troll or alter. I posted under the same name on the old dawg rant. I just enjoy reading what yall say and usually i don't have anything to say that hasn't been said already but when I do i post. It's not that complicated. Other than that answer the questions or stfu.

Overall, I agree with your assessment. Regardless of how you spin it, I have been concerned that we haven't been generating enough of a pass rush for whatever reasons. Even in wins vs Missouri and Vandy, we saw quarterbacks with plenty of time who were able to pick apart our secondary which also don't look like championship caliber players to me.
Considering our offense wasn't moving the ball, our defense did pretty well to hold Auburn to mostly field goals in the first half but their offense was moving the ball at will both and the ground and through the air. We simply don't look like a championship caliber team.
It's clear to me now that ND and MSU were the only decent teams we had played leading up to the Auburn game. That blowout of MSU was definitely our best game of the season. We are going to have to pass on first down a lot more against whoever we play against in the SECCG and hope that Fromm can connect on some big plays.

Spaceman Spiff doth protest too much about trolls & alters. The truth is he's not a Dawg fan. He's a troll pulling the long con. All he does is spread negativity.
Here's his 3 types of posts:
1. Georgia's gonna lose (see pregame MissSt, Tenn, UF)
2. I told you so. (He's bummed he had to wait til game 10)
3. You're an idiot.
And when we win, ever see him on here congratulating coaches or players. Nope. He NEVER posts anything positive about Georgia. Even though we've been having a great season, it's all Debbie Downer bullshite.
You're nothing but a troll, Spaceman, scattering your bad attitude like sour seeds.

We don't seem to be blitzing as much as in the past. But with a mobile QB blitzing will make for easy TDs for the other team. We use more stunts and fakes and try to close of the outside. Works most of the time.

I watch the same amount of football as everyone else here on this board, probably. The one thing I've noticed from Chubb is his inability to get past the shoestring tackles like he did his Freshman year. Granted the guy is a DGD and is a truly remarkeable human being, he has lost some of that push.

The ones about his troubled home life?

Spiffs posts rarely add anything meaningful to the conversation, but he is hurting like the rest of us.
As to Chubb, I really think he is the type of back that does well with volume carries , our share load approach this year I think helps out swift and Michel more, than Nick.
