You should and/or present what you are looking for in the next HC.

Point being that is what I believe the program needs, but a "big name" "home run" hire could be named that will fit none of those boxes and ultimately be a colossal failure, see: Bert.

I have posted this numerous times but here we go again.

Spread based attack. Either the urban/mullen power style, or the Texas based spread (This fits us better imo)

Has recruiting connections to Texas and Louisiana

Can develop a qb

I want someone who is tough on thier players and expects perfection

Prefer him to be young and hungry.

I want a blitzing defense that runs press. Take away the easy throws. Make him work under pressure. This bring 3 and wait for him to pick you apart shite is awful.

I just want a coach that is known for excelling at one side of the ball opposed to neither, I don't personally care whether it's offense or defense. History shows that offensive minded coaches can win here and our recruiting base probably plays better into that, but if you can get a Gary Patterson-esque defensive guy here you absolutely do it.

Don't care if he has major P5 HC experience although some HC experience would be in my criteria. A good, innovative, effective coach and leader of young men translates to any level of program.

I would also like for him to have some recruiting ties to the region, even if it's not Texas-heavy like some would hope for.
