Your first sentence is accurate. The rest of your post makes no sense whatsoever: “Preferably a shitty school with shitty players.”
Lincoln Riley is already the HC at Oklahoma. He was SMART to “preferably” align himself with a “non-shitty” school, with “non-shitty” talent when he chose to accept the OC job that Stoops offered to him in 2015, knowing that he could climb the ladder fast and parlay that into being a HC one day. He’s earned every bit of coaching success that he’s had so far, and hasn’t been handed anything. If he wasn’t good enough to be a HC then he would still be a coordinator.

how can you accurately analyze what he's done this year? any one of those coaches at OU could do what he's done so far. can he sustain it? imo, you can't accurately judge a coach until you see progress on the field. OU was already good. plus, there's no way he leaves OU after just one season. see willie taggart.
