I could be on the Kiffin train very easily. So he likes womenz...that's ok with me...just like Petrino. If you have blood pumping through your veins and you are an American male, the by God...womenz are good for you.

Petrino would have us in the CFP pronto. That guy HATES to lose and has a genius IQ for offense....without air raid crap. He checks ALL the boxes, his buyout is small now that the AD was fired at UL...all the boxes except for the teeney weenie one about integrity damn it. Has he learned his lesson? Yes...he and his wife made it through the mess. Just show pics of that intern to Stricklin and ask him if he would have hit that

Kiffin is also brilliant at offensive strategy and has that it factor going for him...instant success also probably and pressers would be a must watch TV. Swagger? I'm ok with that..we need swagger right now big time. He has extensive recruiting experience in the deep south and in California...not a bad thing either. The Dade/Broward are is a gold mine of recruits and he has been dead center in it.

Kiffin might be a better choice of hires compared to Frost because of the above. We need someone to kick down the locker room door and straighten shite out from day one. The players should worry about their positions. I prefer tanned to pale skins also. Damn it this is Florida!

Because we're fricking desperate as frick. We see a name like ''Norvell'' and all we think of: Oh, shite, here we go with another ''Aw, Shucks'' type of HC who is completely underwhelming and uninspiring.

Kiffin/Petrino are good HCs, they have personality issues but I actually think...

I'm gonna sound crazy.

I actually think Kiffin would be a lot more cautious at Florida, because if he gets fired it would literally be his last chance at any big time HC gig.

I can't believe I'm changing my tune on Kiffin, although a guy like Norvell definitely inspires it.

Blast it on all social media that Florida does NOT want Norvell.

Lol. Kiffin is nothing like SOS.

He's been fired from 3 gigs.

He's a walking NCAA investigation waiting to happen

He parties too much and is a PR nightmare

Only take him after you make Frost, Kelly, Kiffin, Gundy and Taggart tell you no.

I mean like, make them threaten you with a restraining order NO

could add several other names to that list that should have precedence over norvell.

There are some coordinators I'd take over Norvell, to be completely honest.

Leach, Frost, Taggart, Kiffin, Mullen, STRONG, Kelly, Stoops, Les Miles, Richt (Yes, Richt), Kentucky Stoops, Tebow???, Campbell, Fuente, David Shaw.

I'm sure there are more, but man this would be the most disappointing hire since Muschamp through McElwain. We can't take another hire like this.

Damn man, i wouldnt go that far :)

I guess we just need to trust the process and not trust every rumor like Scott said.

He did have a scary confidence to him at the podium which makes me think he already had feelers out with some level of interest from a top prospect. Just my .02

Dooley is too busy trying to pick out songs on the iPod then his knowledge of who the top guy is he likes NORVELL that is why he is saying he is the top guy.

Geez we are the first big name school to be looking for a coach and if we choose NORVELL we are in big trouble he will not make 3 years here ( YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT)

It would be the most uninspired hire we've ever made at Florida. McElwain wasn't very inspiring, but at least he was a Saban protege who did well at CSU.

People have been saying Norvell from the very beginning but I just don't see us hiring him unless he is our absolute last option.

I'd still go with McElwain. He was in his mid-50's, lost to pretty much every decent team they played at CSU, average recruiter and eventually had a good offense but nothing really great or exciting. Foley got blinded post-Meyer by Saban proteges. Nothing about him screamed "Florida Coach".

At least Norvell is a top offensive mind, is young and known as a recruiter. He has still has the potential to be the next big thing, it's just a huge risk at this point.

Is he? He's coached one team -- Memphis, and Memphis was already an offensive powerhouse (thanks to Fuente) before he even got there. He's only been a quarterback coach one year.

Both Frost and McElwain took over diggity dog shite teams and turned them around, he took a good team and maintained them being good.

Although, the more I think about this, the more confident I feel that Norvell will not be our HC.

He was a top offensive coordinator before going to Memphis, hell we tried to get him a couple of times. When Fuente was at Memphis he turned to Norvell for advice on what to do with his offense. The guy knows what he is doing on that side of the ball.

He has a pretty good team that was left over -- how do you think he's going to change our offense to work under his system?

For me, it's not possible in a year. Not for the type of offense he has.

It's his QB, so he does have his fingerprints in some areas already.

I think Frost has shown to be very good at adapting his offense to the personnel, it's one of the reasons he's at the top of the list. Norvel has some experience as well. I don't have concerns with the offense under Norvell, my concern is this job is too big for him right now. While Frost hasn't been a HC at a high pressure school, he's been around them and played at one so he gets it.

This is a pretty good article from when Norvell was hired at Memphis describing his offense and comparisons to Fuente.

Depends, AR coaches boast they can install their system in 7 days. The rest is just reps
