I feel like this is getting over looked because we won, but what the hell was that spike all about? We were basically coming out of a time out because they were reviewing the fumble.

I think ta'amu was confused because on the play before you could see Luke was telling him that he would need to spike it after the qb keeper. Since the play was under review for so long it wasn't necessary to spike it anymore but ta'amu must have thought he still needed to.
You could tell the coaches were confused because he kept looking at them doing the spike motion like he was explaining himself after it happened.
