Anyone have any good suggestions on purchasing a new washer and dryer? Mine have seen their better days

I just know I hate our highly rated front loaders. I've seen lots of other front loader hate on other boards here.

We got the cheap Kenmore top load washer and front load dryer a few months ago, and I've been happy with it so far. We just leave the water setting on "deep fill". Otherwise, it doesn't put enough water in.

Buy a speed queen and it will be part of your children's inheritance

We bought some high end Samsung front loader for the house and hate it. It’s been serviced twice in three years. Meanwhile, the cheap Amana washer and dryer we bought for the camp five years ago works like a champ and has never once been serviced.

The top recommendation here will likely be speed queen. Even from the resident washer and dryer expert, Napoleon

I'll also chime in that I hate our front load. We run it on the self cleaning cycle monthly, always leave the door open, and there is still constantly mold and mildew inside the gasket. And the clothes never come out feeling really clean. We have had ours for 8 years and it hasnt broken or anything, but it is for sure the first and last front load washer. I'm actively rooting for the day that the machine breaks just to have a reason to get a new one.
Our next washer will be the biggest relatively inexpensive ge topload we can find.

Do not ever buy a Whirlpool Cabrio. My only advice.

Seriously. I go buy the cheapest washer and dryer at Lowe’s. Usually $300-$400 a piece.

I bought a fridgeaire front load washer and dryer back in 2008. Still going strong. Had to replace a door hinge on washer, but that was my fault it broke. Paid $1600 for the paid brand new back then.

Still using my grandmothers Lady Kenmore washer and dryer 30 years later.
