We have been behind in score only in the Notre Dame game. Mizzou tied us a couple of times but never led.
Mizzou tied us with 1:34 in the 2nd quarter at 21, then they next scored their final TD with 12:19 left in the 4th quarter to make it 47-28. We countered with the 59 yard TD pass to Mecole less than 2 minutes later. I like this team.

Just curious, were you drinking Saturday night ?

To be honest, I'm not really excited about that stat.
In other words, this team (with a true fresh QB to boot) has very little experience playing when the game isn't going their way.
Sooner or later (probably against Auburn or Bama), they are going to get punched in the gut. How will this team respond being down 21-7 going into halftime?

Did pretty well against Notre Dame

they were never "down" against ND. They were always in a one-score game. That's not the kind of situation I'm talking about.
I'm talking about when the other team comes out swinging and you're unexpectedly getting your arse kicked. How do you respond as a team?
Very different kinds of situations.

To be honest, I'd never be honest again if I were you. Would you rather us be behind in all of those games? Do you have a voter registration card?

Well, assuming UGA would still be 8-0, yeah it'd be great if UGA was behind in all their games. How does that phrase go....you learn more from failure than success?
Teams don't learn much from winning games 42-7. They learn a lot more from having to fight and scrape like they did against ND.
Are you familiar with the concept of resilience? It's an important quality for a football team.
Someone is going to punch UGA in the mouth. Its not a matter of "if" but "when."

Idk being ahead the whole time works pretty well for Bama

Over the past 4 years, Bama has barely been a .500 team in games decided by 7 pts or less.
Any team that punches Bama in the mouth and takes the game to the 4th quarter has more than a decent shot at beating them.
When you blow out every team, your starters aren't even used to playing an entire football game.

Well, they might be 8-0 (or not) but they probably wouldn't be #2, given your scenario. Probably have more of a Wisconsin or UCF type ranking.

If said team keeps beating opponents like this team does, they don't need to learn any lessons other than to keep doing what they're doing.

Yeah, and the 2017 Dawgs are one of the most resilient CFB teams I've ever seen, play after play.
You suffer from CMRPTSD. Get help or follow Miami. This coach and program are different.

How much we gonna beat Bama by dude? 30? 35? 40?
You're right, this is the greatest football team that has ever graced the gridiron. What the hell was I thinking even questioning that this team might have a vulnerability?
Geez...heaven forbid a fellow fan speaks ill of Saint Kirby and his team of infallible football angels

You just can't please some people. This team is MASSACRING everyone and you complain.

Complaining? What the hell are you talking about?
I pointed out a potential issue. Would love to know where I "complained."

I understand your concern.

quote:He isn't complaining, but questioning how we will respond if we get down early. It is a valid question and the only time we probably can have it happen is in the SEC CG. Since we have been blowing teams out, we don't really know how we will respond being down 2-3 possessions early. Hopefully, we won't have to find that out this season. We have played a rather weak schedule and have yet to see a elite DEF. I'm ready to see what we can do to them pups out in the west.

When we beat Bama by three TDs, will you admit this topic is dumb and you don't need to learn how to play from behind if you just blow everyone out?
ETA: Should have need directed at UGAtiger.

I did manage to slip a couple of flasks into the game.

While Fromm doesn't have much experience playing from behind,( and you could argue the QB is the most important person that needs that experience) Sony, nick, carter, wynn, sanders etc all do and they won't let the team lose focus or doubt themselves.
The leadership on this team is skrong

Here's a thought, we are a lot better than Bama. Also ND is a legit team. They run just as well if not better than us and we held them to like 50 yards rushing. This is the best GA team I've ever seen. We may have had more talented teams but this team comes to break you every game
