Dude, I ain’t got a clue... but it’s wild. There is always some absorption through saliva and soft tissue in your mouth, so that must be it.

Are you asking how smoking a cigar affects someone even though they don't inhale?

Eta: nvm, I misunderstood.

I don't smoke often but when I smoke cigars or hookah it usually makes me a little dizzy. In fact, it makes me more buzzed than a couple glasses of whiskey.

I think, and I could be wrong here because I am far from a cigarologist, that the smoke/leaves still seep into your system inside your mouth giving you the caffeine.
