COnsidering our overall depth and lack of experience, a Bowl Game would be pretty good for the program to get the young players some more game time.
Plus, I do want our recruiting class to stay in the top 7.
So while I think McElwain is a dead man walking (maybe not this year, but next), I do still support anything positive for the program.

Young players have been getting playing time anyway. The only reason for us to go to a bowl game is for us to replace Mac and have an interim coach start changing the culture. Other than that it's just another shite show where it's more deflating to get beat by another team you should win.
