Yes it is.

Georgia has 2, Alabama has 1 and Florida has 1, and i stopped looking after that. So you are wrong, and your statement is debatable.

ETA
BTW, Auburn also has one. Where did you get that bit of wisdom?

The ol “they were really good when we played them” bit. Two of them are still ranked.

Clemson isn’t a conference, by the way. I know how the bottom feeders of the SEC have to tout conference pride, but I’d expect more from a Georgia fan.

Generally speaking there are 2 accepted methods of counting "wins over ranked opponents"... either a) Ranked at the time of the game or b) Ranked at the end of the season. Rankings in October mean little more than rankings at the time of the game played... It's reactionary at best. If you had played FSU in game one instead of Alabama, and then the same events unfolded, would you say that was not a quality win, given that you played them with Francois at QB for most of the game?

Don't be obtuse about it. The current state of CFB conferences in general is that most conferences are pretty top heavy. The curious thing is the floor hasn't gotten that much worse, but rather the middle has dropped down significantly it would seem in most conferences.

So, in order to [prove Clemson is good and the SEC is bad you are going to claim a win over a SEC team. Then to top it off, you said at the end of the season the only good team would be Alabama?

Yes, i will claim the rankings at the time the games were played, because at the end of the season the teams you beat might not be ranked. If you are going to go by rankings DURING the year, then you go by rankings at the time. If not, then we can wait until the end of the year and see how you stack up with your opponents. I mean, the main reason Mississippi State is not ranked right now is because they were beaten by the #4 and #10 team in the country.

I wasn't saying Clemson was a conference, and I would have expected more from a Cle....no, actually I do not.
