Nolo won't help on the insurance.

Getting the speed reduced is the only goal there (as another has said... pay the full fine but accept a reduced speed if that is what it takes)

Amen. I had some backasswoods prick give me a ticket years back for 72 in a 55 in the middle of nowhere on HWY 19. I tried and tried to get him to put me down for <70 on the ticket but he wouldn't budge.

Drove back down a few weeks later to go to the clerk's office to pay the ticket. Asked the dude if there was any way to drop the speed if I offer to pay the full fine (worried more about insurance hit than anything else) and, after asking me if I'd had any tickets in the last 3 years (I said no but I did) he accepted my deal. They don't give a shite about safety, they just want your money.
